Thanks to a long company history, the Christopeit Sport brand has been able to bring numerous innovations to the market over the years.
1976
Founded by former "Bundesliga" goalkeeper Horst Christopeit (VFL Bochum). Foundation stone laid for own production in Velbert (NRW). Successful marketing of table tennis tables.
1978
Expansion of the product range to include innovative power stations and weight benches.
1980
Production of the first exercise bikes.
1989
Until 1989, the development, planning and production of home sports equipment took place exclusively in Velbert. As raw material prices rose, large parts of the production were relocated abroad. The number of employees at the Velbert site continued to grow, however.
Over the years, the range has been continuously expanded. In addition to fitness equipment, Christopeit Sport's range also includes numerous leisure products - such as soccer tables.
1994
Christopeit Sport introduces a wide range of ergometer exercise bikes according to DIN 32932 for therapeutic training.
1995
Introduction of a water bike, which is now a popular technology in the rowing machine segment.
1998
Introduction of cross trainers on the German market.
2000
Design trendsetter with silver/black colors instead of clinical, white sports equipment.
2007
Crosstrainer CS 5 is test winner at Stiftung Warentest.
2011
The CXM6 cross trainer is rated “good” by Stiftung Warentest.
2020
Constant expansion of products. New innovations such as the water rowing machine.
The Christopeit Sport brand is entering the digital age with its devices and is implementing app-compatible home exercise equipment.
Ecological/sustainable home exercise equipment without electricity or batteries thanks to new technologies such as self-generated electricity using a generator.
